Christiaan van Lierop is an attorney with Erstad and Riemer, P.A. Prior to joining the firm in 2026, Christiaan was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Melissa M. Saterbak in Anoka County District Court. He previously worked in private practice, with experience in both plaintiffs- and defense-side civil litigation. Christiaan is admitted to practice in all Minnesota State Courts and Federal District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Christiaan attended the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities where he received his B.A. degree in Political Science and Mass Communication. He earned his J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN. While in law school, Christiaan was a representative for his fellow students on the Student Bar Association Board, as well as a writing and editing associate for the Mitchell Hamline Journal of Public Policy & Practice (Vol. 42). He also met his wife there!

Outside of the office Christiaan enjoys reading, traveling, and commiserating with fellow MN sports fans.
