Mitchell B. Larson is an associate attorney with Erstad & Riemer, P.A. He joined the firm in 2022.

Mr. Larson was born and raised in the Twin Cities. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he majored in History and minored in Environmental Science. Prior to law school Mr. Larson worked as an environmental consultant advocating for clients in the energy and land development industry. He then attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Prior to joining Erstad & Riemer, Mr. Larson’s practice focused primarily on Federal Employer’s Liability Act (FELA) matters. The FELA, in many respects, is the predecessor of modern workers’ compensation laws. Mr. Larson’s familiarity with FELA eased his transition to workers’ compensation defense as many of the legal concepts are similar.

Mr. Larson’s current practice includes all areas of workers’ compensation litigation. He handles wage loss disputes, complex medical disputes, determinations of primary liability, multi-party litigation, and appellate work before the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals. He generally defends claims on behalf of insurance companies, small and large corporations, self-insured employers, and various government agencies.

When not practicing, Mitchell is a devout Minnesota sports fan, enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time at the family cabin.
